The Extec Labcut® Micro 2.0 Variable Speed Precision Saw is designed for precision cuts on the most sensitive materials. Incredibly versatile with the speed range and cutting capacity, it can be used in many applications with cutting wheels up to 8” (200 mm) diameter.
The 3.5” EZ-TSK Touch Screen Keypad interface controls the unit’s functions as well as Z-axis positional display (accurate to 0.02 mm). As a result of the zeroing system, very accurate parallel cuts can be achieved.
The work piece is held by a vice-holding arm. The adjustment knob, located outside the cutting chamber, allows micrometer controlled movement of the Z-axis.
The cutting feed is controlled either manually or with a counterweight system adapted specifically for delicate cuts. The rocker arm balances the weight of the part and another arm allows precise adjustment of the applied load.
A robust metal interior and exterior construction ensure stable and vibration free cutting.
The hinged transparent cover eliminates any spray outside the machine and allows easy access for clamping vices on the arm. The cover is fitted with a safety device that stops the cutting wheel if it is opened.
An external filter / recirculation tank is available, allowing the user to easily make slow cuts with optimum cooling conditions.
A range of sample holders is available for clamping workpieces and materials of any kind.
